Our vision is to be aimed at enabling vulnerable children to reach their full personal potential and gain the skills required to achieve long term employment, offering high-level pastoral care for each learner while with our programme. We aim to support through nurture, autonomy and wider skills those with a history of barriers to their learning and life outcomes, due to Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and possibly Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) issues.
At Rosscon Training, our aim is to move away from traditional mainstream School/Further Education procedure of, isolation, exclusion, and behaviour points, instead, we understand that our pupils are children, and will make mistakes, our staff then supporting them through that decision, and training them to take ownership to make better decisions in the future.
Our ethos is we believe that every child has a place within society, it is our job to help them find their place, we promote taking pride of where they come from, and that no matter where you are born, it will never determine where you end up, no door is closed to our young people.
Many vulnerable young people have poor educational and life-outcomes. Through non-contact boxing, sport, outdoor activities, and group workshops, we help young people develop their physical and mental wellbeing, positively impacting their educational attainment, in environments where they feel confident to achieve success.
Our AEP programmes focus on social and emotional goals, practical interventions, and is suitable for students of all ages and abilities.
